Eva Midkiff Monk, 100, of Thibodeaux passed from this life on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in Thibodeaux.

Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Grace Monk Gueydan of Houma; two granddaughters, Monica G. Monk of Metairie and Charlotte D. Smith and husband Gary of Thibodeaux; two great gandchildren, Charles David and Katherine Grace Smith
both of Thibodeaux; seven nephews and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Jarrel Midkiff and Thomas J. Midkiff, formally of Vernon Parish; her husband, S. David (Dave) Monk; her only son, Charles David Monk;
three sisters, Elizabeth Brooks, Ophelia Robertson, Lydia Carlyle and one brother, David J. Midkiff.
Her services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Leesville Cemetery
under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville and Landry Funeral Home of Thibodeaux. Visitation will be held just prior to the service on Friday, March 20, 2009 beginning at 9 a.m. until the service at 11a.m. at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel
in Leesville.
