Funeral services for Mrs. Ina J. Smith will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March, 17, 2009 in the Simpson
Baptist Church in Simpson. The Rev’s Jeremy Blocker and Gil Arthur will officiate. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mrs. Smith passed away on Sunday, March
15, 2009 in the Lexington House in Alexandria. She was born in Janie. She was retired as a Transportation Officer for Federal Civil Service at Fort Polk, after serving over 25 years. She was a very independent person who loved her family and the
outdoors. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is survived by her children, Karen Selena and Eugene White of Gardner, Loretta Janice and Harry Lottinger of Lake Charles and Cathy Dianne Burns of Simpson; one brother,
Rev. Gary W. Johnson of Pitkin; seven grandchildren, Robert Burns, Amanda Michelle White, Michael Paul Basco, Joshua Leonard Basco, Amber Gayle Menard, James Opal Mashburn III and Hailey Laine McCraw; one step granddaughter, Charlene D. White; 3
great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren, and 2 step great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husbands, Leonard Clifford Burns Sr. and Wallace A. Smith; four siblings, Samuel Claude Johnson, Geneva
Cross, Everette Asa Johnson and Douglas MacArthur Johnson.
