Funeral service for Mrs. Alice Faye Behan will be held today, Sunday, March 15, 2009, at Prewitts Chapel
Baptist Church in Hornbeck at noon with Rev. Nicky Hilton
officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Hixson of Leesville.
Visitation was from 4 p.m. on Saturday till service time at the
church.
Mrs. Behan 78, was a life resident of the Hornbeck area and was a graduate of Hornbeck High School. She was a member of Prewitts Chapel Baptist Church and the Eastern Star, Katherine B Chapter 31 of Hornbeck. She was a former
cook at Hornbeck High School cafeteria and loved to sew and cook for her family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents Joseph and Effie Westbrook, brothers, Howard and Hoyt Westbrook and sister Lovie
Fowler.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Eugene” Ham” Behan of Hornbeck; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Sandy Behan of Florien; one daughter and son-in-law, Doris Ann and Charles Dowden of Hornbeck; two sisters, Doris
Colley of Hanceville, Ala. and Mickey Moore and husband Richard of Lake Charles; one brother, Thomas Westbrook and wife Betty of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren and spouses: Angela and Larry Averitt, Tandy and Kevin Killian, Cotton and Rhonda
Dowden, Trent and Jennifer Behan and Tonya and James Semons; and 14 great grandchildren.
