Funeral services for Huey P. Causey, 80, will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at 2 p.m. at East Leesville Baptist Church of Leesville with Rev. Gil Arthur and Rev. Wallace Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill
Cemetery, Hicks, under the direction of Hixson of Leesville.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville and Wednesday, March 11 beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of
the funeral service at the church. Huey passed from this life on March 8, 2009, at his residence in Leesville.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Jean Causey of Leesville; son Rodger Causey and wife Anne of
Leesville; daughters, Brenda Skaggs and husband John of San Antonio, Texas and Linda Williams and husband James of Leesville; sister, Mavis Berkley of Leesville; two grandchildren, Denise Nicole Causey of Portland, Ore. and Amy Catherine Williams of
Leesville.
Mr. Causey was a life resident of the Leesville area. He was a retired manager for the Billups Charter Station in Leesville until his retirement.
He then worked at the Leesville Country Club for approximately
10 years maintaining the yard and greens. He was a member of the East Leesville Baptist Church; he loved staying busy working in God’s creation. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the Leesville Wampus Cats. Huey was a devoted grandfather and
attended all of his granddaughter’s tennis and ball games.
