Fred Thomas

Funeral services for Fred Thomas will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Smart and Son of Leesville with Rev. Wallace Palmer officiating followed by cremation.

Mr. Thomas 57 of Anacoco passed away Jan
25, 2009 in his residence.

A native of McAllen, Texas he is a member of Good Hope Baptist Church where he loved to serve the Lord. He was currently working for the State School as a procurement specialist. A 14 year
veteran of US military he served six years with the US Marine Corp and 8 years with the US Army.
Mr. Thomas loved to work outdoors burning leaves and trying to raise a garden, where his children say he was happiest, he also loved to
fish.

He was preceded in death by two sisters Janis and Gladys.

Survivors are his wife of 28 years Teresa Myers Thomas of Anacoco, and a son Steven Thomas and his wife Savannah of
Rosepine, and a daughter Sandy Thomas and her fianc�’ Daniel Johnson both of Anacoco; granddaughter Haley.
Other survivors are his brothers John Harris of Pasadena, Texas and Paul David Harris of Mobile, Ala., Kenneth McIntyre of
Tucson, Ariz., step-brothers Denny Parker of Rio Hondo, Texas and James Parker of Hammond and Honorary Brother John Holt of Cumby, Texas, and step-sisters Paula Richards of Rio Hondo, Texas and Vivian Carter of Mobile, Ala..


Visitation will be held at Smart and Son Funeral Home located at 1352 Belview Road, Leesville from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and then again Wednesday morning from 8am until time of the services.
