Joseph O. Bollinger Sr.

Funeral services for Joseph O. Bollinger, Sr. will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2009 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, of Alexandria. Burial will be in Pine Island Cemetery, in Simpson.�

Mr.
Bollinger, 74, of Alexandria, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at his residence.

He was a member of St. Claire Baptist Church in Gardner. Mr. Bollinger was a graduate of Simpson High School and an Army Veteran.
As a civil servant at Fort Polk for 35 years, he retired in 1989 as a management analyst.�He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He coached and was an avid supporter of little league baseball throughout his
life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Oscar and Verlie Singletary Bollinger; brothers, William Steve Bollinger and Charles Singletary Bollinger.

Those left to cherish
his memory include his wife of 52 years, Wanda L. Bollinger of Alexandria; sons, Joey Bollinger and his wife, Gina Bertoglio Bollinger of Alexandria, John A. Bollinger and his wife, Connie C. Bollinger of Alexandria; grandchildren, Jackson Bollinger,
Chance Terrell, Jacob Bollinger, Zachary Bollinger and Marta Bollinger and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until
service time.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Simpson Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 336, Simpson, 71474.
