Thelma May O’Banion

Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma May O’Banion were held at 2 p.m. Monday January 19, 2009 in the Pine Hill Baptist Church in Leesville with the Rev. D.R. Davis officiating.� Burial followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction
of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Mrs. O’Banion was a native of Bonham, Texas.� She was a foster parent and a seamstress while she lived in Texas.� She moved to Vernon Parish 19 years ago.� She was a homemaker who
loved canning. She also served as a volunteer at the Helping Hands ministry in Leesville.
Mrs. O’Banion is preceded in death by one son, Eric O’Banion and her sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Bobby Gene Bush and four
brothers.
She is survived by: her husband, Chris O’Banion of Leesville; two sons, � Steven Whitten of Vidor, Texas and Michael and wife Terri Whitten of Vidor, Texas; daughter-in-law, Brenda O’Banion of Leesville; four daughters and
sons-in-law, Darla and Kenneth Ross of Lenard, Texas, Sonya Gayle and Douglas Savell of Leesville, Cindy and Russell Lyon of DeRidder and LaWanda & Brian Case of Leesville; brother, Lawrance McKinney of Oklahoma; 25 grandchildren; and 16 great
grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Pine Hill Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until service time Monday, January 19, 2009.
