Lois Elaine Jeter

Lois Elaine Jeter passed from this life on Friday, Jan 16, 2009 in Alexandria. She was born in Vernon Parish to Charlie and Ada Poe Jeter on May 12, 1931.
After graduating from Simpson High School at the age of 17, she
worked for Western Union for 43 years and then worked for ATT for 7 years until her retirement. For approximately 25 years she lived in Virginia and then moved to England Oaks in Alexandria.
She was dedicated to all of her nieces,
nephews and extended family.
“Aunt Lois” truly loved traveling the back roads of the states where she lived to view and enjoy God’s creation.
She will live in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

Her survivors are sister Myrtis Kenney of Port Arthur, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Hicks with Rev. Grant Blakeney
officiating.
Services are under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Compassion In Action Ministry of East Leesville Baptist Church, a ministry which she
supported.
