Funeral services for James D. Ashfield Jr., 43, of Lake Charles will be Thursday, January 15th at 2 p.m.
in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. D.R. Davis officiating. The burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery in Slagle.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 14 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the funeral home.
Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mr. Ashfield passed away Saturday, January 10 in his residence in Lake Charles.
James worked for the U.S. Department of Interior Fish
& Wildlife Service as a Refuge Officer. He loved to fish and hunt. He was an avid firearm collector and loved his guns. Mr. Ashfield prided himself in being a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
He is preceded in death by his mom Karolyne
Ashfield.
He is survived by his son, Cameron Ashfield of Big Lake; daughters Anne Ashfield of Leesville and Taylor Ashfield of Lake Charles; father James D. Ashfield Sr. of Anacoco; sister Kathy (husband, Mike) Wilber of Anacoco; one
niece; five nephews; and one great niece.
