Oliver Virgel Davis

Funeral services for Oliver V. Davis will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of
Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Burial with full military honors will follow at the Forest Lawn Cemtery in Leesville. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. Friday until 9 p.m. in the funeral home and then from 8 a.m. until service time on
Saturday.
Mr. Davis, 80, of Leesville was a native of Glenrose, Texas. He joined the military in 1948 and served 22 years in the U.S. Army. He served during the Korean Conflict, the Viet Nam War and completed tours of Germany and
France. After retirement from the Army he worked civil service at Ft. Polk until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Lieselotte Davis of Leesville; one son and daughter in law: Don and Elizabeth Davis of Leesville;
three daughters and sons-in-law: Martha Davis of Leesville, Rosemarie D. and Daniel G. Calk of Monroe, Lisa Marie and Bobby Reynoso of North Richland Hills, Texas; one brother and sister in law: Erwin and Wilma Davis of Oxford, Miss; one sister and
brother-in-Law: Mary Ann and George Winkler of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
